About Us

The Foundation

Down To Earth Education Center is the product of years of civic involvement and commitment to conservation. The twin values of sustainable community and sustainable land use shape the goals of our organization. It is not enough to preserve the land, or produce renewable energy, we must also share the age old fun of enjoying the outdoors.

TG Pelham Program Director

TG Pelham has 15 years experience teaching high school and college students. He has designed education programs in many outdoor and classroom settings.

Our Programs

We offer classes that meet Georgia's curriculum standards in several subject areas. Each of our classes is designed to provide the physical contests that fuel students' imagination. Subjects come alive when information from textbooks is made physical. All of our classes combine hands-on experiences with content information. Students should come prepared to experience nature.
