Earth Day 2008 Nearly 200 third and forth graders celebrated Earth Day by
learning about soil, water, compost, worm, plants, and biodiesel. Kids were digging in the compost, playing with dirt,
digging for worms, sewing seeds, planting plants, discovering how biodiesel is made, and picnicking in the grass--a good time
was had by all! Special thanks to teaching volunteers from Georgia Association of Soil and
Water Conservation Districts, Keep Walton Beautiful, Madison Morgan Conservancy, Mountain Creek Farms, and the mysterious
Water Gypsy.
